The Mississippi Care Management recently made a donation to a community organization during a time of need
In a recent display of community support, our Mississippi Care Management team made a significant contribution to Little Light House (www.llhms.org), a cherished organization providing tuition-free early intervention services for children with special needs. On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, the team donated 18 cases of water to the facility during a critical time of need.
The donation team included Medical Director Dr. Lawson, Assistant Program Manager Dr. Cassandra Bullock, and dedicated staff members Tewana Bailey, Jewel Broadway, and Kimberly Hines-McAfee. Little Light House offers therapeutic, educational, and faith-based support to children with special needs and their families.
This initiative builds upon the team’s previous community engagement efforts. In July 2024, the Mississippi Care Management Department, comprising RN Care Managers and a Health Coach, collaborated with the Utilization Management team to organize a successful baby essentials drive. The drive benefited Pickles and Popsicles, a nonprofit supporting postpartum mothers in need. Donations included baby blankets, bottles, socks, mittens, bibs, hats, a baby stroller, wipes, and diapers.
The Mississippi Care Management Program continues to provide specialized assistance for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, postpartum care needs, Hemophilia, and Disabled Children Living at Home. These outreach efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to serving the communities where our engaged members receive care.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to these meaningful initiatives!
